For our communities

Mark Swan, Head of Airspace Change Organising Group: “Under this plan, it is so important that local communities have their say.”

John Stewart, Former Chair of Heathrow Association for the Control of Aircraft Noise: “Modernising airspace is important for the UK because it allow for more efficient journeys, less fuel to be used, less CO2 to be used and if done well, less noise for local communities.”

Niamh Viana, EasyJet Pilot: “By modernising our airspace, it would mean that it’s a lot more efficient and a lot more direct routes for pilots, which would mean less time in the sky, burning less fuel, which is ultimately better for our environment.”

John Stewart: “There are benefits for local communities, but they need to be involved at an early stage. They need to be involved in designing the airspace changes, they need to be involved in the flight paths, it’s absolutely vital that their voice is heard.”
